The Legend
More than just a tram
Tram 28 isn't just public transport — it's a rolling time machine. Since the 1930s, these bright yellow carriages have been climbing Lisbon's steepest hills, squeezing through streets barely wider than the tram itself.
The 7-kilometer route connects some of the city's most iconic neighborhoods: from the multicultural energy of Martim Moniz, through the ancient labyrinth of Alfama, past the imposing Sé Cathedral, and onward to the leafy calm of Estrela.
